DTCP means Directorate of Town & Country Planning. It is under the control of Housing and Urban Development Ministry. This approval has its jurisdiction across Tamil Nadu except in Madurai metropolitan areas. In short, it covers all the areas expect areas that is covered by CMDA. Any real estate developer or builder can apply for this approval for building construction provided that plot of land lies within DTCP limits while also fulfilling the set guidelines. Once approved, construction can be started as per the approved plans.
